Wee Ones....

It seems a lot of babies are being born......... I know babies are born everyday.... but quite a few have been coming my way.... so sweet and I feel so privileged to capture them in their first few days!

For me... and I know this is not for all photographers.... but not all my babies sleep..... I always make the room nice and cozy warm.... cozy warm for them = me sweating profusely ...... and that's how it should be! But for whatever reason they don't all sleep.... I don't mind but it is nice to have one sleeping every now and then! 

I'd also like to note that I generally take care of your little bundle the whole session..... you get to take a break and relax even if they are crying..... I have always found it's best to not go back and forth with the baby and just allow them a little time to get to know me and the atmosphere..... But if hunger strikes.... yes they are all yours! 

This little one was too precious.... she came in sleeping and was in and out of sleep for our session! She did a fantabulous job and I enjoyed spending time with her and her brothers!

Fall Is Here...

Yes it is Thanksgiving.... and I have a blog to share with you!
The turkey is in the oven..... since very early this morning.... may need a nap!
I would like to take a moment to let all my family and friends know how truly grateful I am for you all.... your all a blessing in my life! AND- HAPPY THANKSGIVING too everyone!!!

I snuck out for a quick session with a friend and my most fav little men..... I love that I have captured these boys a few times.... and I am so grateful to have known them this long and to have the privlidge to continue to watch them grow........
I can't express it enough to everyone the importance of having photos with your kids...... as a parent who rarely did this in the past... I can tell you I completely regret it! So please find a photographer you love, a friend or do it yourselves.... BUT please have photos with your children.... they are priceless keepsakes!

ok enough of the mushy stuff!
So often people ask or tell me how difficult their children are during a session.... some prepare me via email.... some parents are truly frustrated during a session because they feel their child isn't listening....... I gotta say...... BREATHE... I know these boys personally.....so they felt completely comfortable being their goofy selves around me (but then again most kids do)... and I ALWAYS laugh.... they are kids.... this is them in all their perfect happy glory, lets not mess with it.....
So this mom in particular said to me as we were leaving... "you got what maybe 5 good shots?" (sorry selling ya out here a bit Shell, bare with me)....... and this is a comment I hear ALL the time..... it's never the case.... have a little faith in me and your fabulous munchkins, and everyone please take a deep breath and let kids be kids!...... I promise you won't regret it!

Here we are again.... another day ... another blog.... So I will take a different approach today.... let me ask you all something-

Often my FB inbox is full of questions... I usually just answer them to the person directly, but thought maybe we can try it this way.... knowledge is power after all!!

I've been quite busy lately with sessions and weddings..... albums and orders. All the photographers know this all to well.... everything seems to flow in at once at least for most of us. And that's ok, but something has to give in order to keep up at times.... so my blog tends to suffer during these chaotic times!
But I eventually make it back and that's when you will get 2 or 3 blogs in a row outta me!
Which brings us here.......
Yesterday.... yup yesterday I headed out to Moffat to shoot a session with Terri & Alex.... who will be wed this November! Now the weather was touch and go.... but we braved the cold and possibility of rain! Had a great time laughing.... Alex is quite the funny guy... I have my latest and greatest material.... falling short on my one liners.... I must say my drought is over! lol
